I know I'm posting off schedule, but you should really read this blogpost from WaiterRant.net
It contains adult language and situations, so if that bothers you, don't read it. However, if you want a great explanation of the story of Jesus, Legion, and the herd of pigs, and then an amazing followup to that story, read it. It'll give you insight into the story and insight into the writer himself.

What I really like about that post is how he approached the "spiritual" subject with his coworker. He had no evangelizing agenda on his mind. Yet he witnessed to her in such a powerful way. He may have just opened the door for her to ask more questions and seek faith without even meaning too.
I think this is a great lesson for us. I've always struggled with how to evangelize and witness to people for two reasons. The first being that I want to be sincere and I don't want them to think I have targeted them for my own Christian purposes. And second the old, conversation starters like, "Do you know Jesus?" or "Do you have Jesus in your life?" seem more like conversation enders to me. I would not be necessarily be thrilled if someone came up to and started a conversation that way.
He made a literary reference, told the story and then gave the story relavence and meaning for today's world. That's pretty cool, IMHO.
Very powerful blog post. Thanks for the link Phil.
