He had no evangelizing agenda on his mind. Yet he witnessed to her in such a powerful way. He may have just opened the door for her to ask more questions and seek faith without even meaning too.<BR/><BR/>I think this is a great lesson for us. I've always struggled with how to evangelize and witness to people for two reasons. The first being that I want to be sincere and I don't want them to think I have targeted them for my own Christian purposes. And second the old, conversation starters like, "Do you know Jesus?" or "Do you have Jesus in your life?" seem more like conversation enders to me. I would not be necessarily be thrilled if someone came up to and started a conversation that way.<BR/><BR/>He made a literary reference, told the story and then gave the story relavence and meaning for today's world.
