Even before I scrolled down to the earlier pictures, I thought she looked so grown up. Crazy.
Awww!!! She's looks beautiful! I think they all look so grown-up in their SSA stuff. (grrr...sorry, really am trying to work on that attitude thing!)
Why is her friend sitting next to her in class not wearing the SSA? And as someone out of town, may I ask where can you buy SSA, and if it's available at several places, is the price the same? Just curious.

The SSA states that the shirt must have a collar and be a specific color specified by the school. You can wear a jumper or skirt (if a girl or I guess if a boy as well) or shorts and pants that are navy, Khaki, or black. So her friend actually is wearing the SSA, just different from Kinsey. Which is why they don't technically call it a "uniform," and call it "Standard School Attire."
As far as where to buy, pretty much anywhere: Wal-Mart, Target, Children's Place, GapKids, Gymboree, consignment. And no, it's not all the same price.

Enough to rip your heart out, ain't it. We still have 2 weeks to go before school starts. I'm not ready.
She does look so grown up. I guess you guys decided to stick it out public for the time being.
We're fairly committed to it for Elementary. She's had a great experience in K and the first two days of 1st have been great. We are really hoping that she'll get into an academic magnet school for 5th, but (depending on test scores and availability and her social skills and needs) if she doesn't, we'll just reconsider at that point.
We call it "Spirit Wear." :-)
Malia, it could really work in your favor -- find someone with older kids and get their hand-me-downs!!
