Teaching the Kingdom

I have been privileged to be able to teach a class at Otter Creek Church this quarter on the Kingdom of God. It is a subject that is fascinating to me and that I'm very excited to teach, as well as a bit overwhelmed at the task.

I am recording the class and have posted it to a podcast at http://philwilson.podomatic.com, much as I did to Lee Camp's class last quarter. What I did yesterday was an intro to the class and I talked about where I've come from and books and thinkers that have influenced me a great deal.

I think it's going to be a great class, and I look forward to hearing what the rest of you out there think of it.

hope all goes well with the class. i think the "Kingdom" message is reductionalistic, at least the way its presented in our evangelicial communities. once we establish a holistic approach to the Kingdom message, then i think we'll begin to see things different (and the way we read the Bible will change).

blessings friend.

In talking to other people after class yesterday, I think we'd really love a printed list of your resources - the books you mentioned yesterday and any other sources you think are relevant and informative.

Not that you need any extra work, of course. :)

I actually put the list of books that I talked about with links to Amazon over at philwilson.podomatic.com, but I'll also do a hard copy next week for those people who don't live online, like I do. Thanks for the suggestion.
