Dry Bones

Once again, I find myself in the position of wanting to recommend a sermon at Otter Creek. This one was by Lee Camp on the Exekiel passage about dry bones. http://ottercreek.podomatic.com/entry/eg/2009-02-01T09_27_11-08_00 As with David Rubio's sermon last week and John York's the previous two weeks, this one was also excellent and thought-provoking.

You can also get the book Night by Elie Weisel that Lee mentioned here: http://www.amazon.com/Night-Oprahs-Book-Club-Wiesel/dp/0374500010/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233519989&sr=8-1 I really need to read this one at some point.

Lee has also written a great book called Mere Discipleship that you can get at http://www.amazon.com/Mere-Discipleship-Radical-Christianity-Rebellious/dp/1587432307/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233520118&sr=1-1 You really need to read this one if you haven't.

Phil, when you read Night, read it when you have privacy and have time to put it down and pray, cry, and hurt. Be prepared to pray with anger and confusion.

Most importantly, remember to talk to God when these feelings occur, even if in anger. Very important.

Night by Elie Weisel is truly an eye-opening book that everyone should read. At least once.
