When I told a friend of mine that David Rubio was speaking at Otter Creek after John York's two weeks, he said, "You guys have the best substitutes!" I don't know about the "best" but both of York's were great and David Rubio's yesterday continued that string of excellent, excellent sermons, particularly as he talked about a way that we as Christians should deal with homosexuals.
What did he say? I guess you'll have to listen to it and find out... http://ottercreek.podomatic.com/entry/eg/2009-01-25T09_35_11-08_00

I'm sad that for many, the point of his sermon will be lost to the "homosexual" issue - although it was a good point made on that rabbit trail.
Potentially, but if people only take one point away from the sermon, I think that's a good one.
David's recitation of the Barna findings (1. Christians are judgmental 2. Christians are not eco-friendly 3. Christians hate homosexuals) were well-taken, I think. I heard some Amens from the balcony and even from the front row. I love his visits to Chronicles! Judy
