I looked to try to catch y'all on Sunday, but you got out of there before I found you.Tiffanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06737140275571452756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6821288.post-1163535249263720962006-11-14T15:14:00.000-05:002006-11-14T15:14:00.000-05:00Phil,At another's behest, I've been reading your b...Phil,
At another's behest, I've been reading your blog today. I've covered 3-4 months' worth. In fairness, I couldn't ever blog - I'm a bit squeezed for time and oddly, in my own way, far too private to do it - so my aversion to this medium is not unexpected. What I've found was a depth of thought and quality of read I was expecting, yet had those expectations exceeded in many ways (all good ones).

Thanks for putting yourself out here in the way you do, openly and honestly. I look forward to reading from time to time and enjoying it as much as I do today. Also, I don't take the chances I get to thank you personally, but I have been remiss in not letting you know that I appreciate the time and effort you give to make my family's Sundays what they are. Servanthood isn't something that comes naturally, and I fight it more than most, other than volunteering to hit 10th (which is probably where I belong, anyway, so that's not exactly sacrificing).

I was particularly moved and interested by your tale of the 30 minutes and the conversation generated by the "experiment" you conducted. I've got my own views on that which I'd be interested in discussing with you at some point, but in short, I think OCCC can be a place where some people are welcomed to plug in, while others have to inflict themselves on the body there just to keep their heads above water. It hurts me to watch the ones who drown and wash out because someone isn't giving them 2-3 minutes a week of attention and care.

Please continue the good work you do, both here and at the building, and may God bless you in both of those good works.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6821288.post-1163533260028024442006-11-14T14:41:00.000-05:002006-11-14T14:41:00.000-05:00Nope, not gonna have the nose.
